We are pleased to announce that sanitas has recently received the coveted environmental certificate from DerGrünePunkt. This prestigious award recognizes our commitment and achievements in the dual system for the recycling of sales packaging in 2023. Through our participation in this program, we have not only made a significant contribution to reducing our environmental impact, but have also achieved impressive savings:
- 1,522 kg of CO2 equivalents: This amount corresponds to the annual filter performance of 1,522 square meters of forest.
- 22 kg phosphate equivalents: an important step towards reducing water pollution.
- 39 GJ primary energy: Efficient use of resources and minimization of energy consumption.
- 6 kg sulphur dioxide equivalents: Contribution to reducing air pollutants and improving air quality.
These figures illustrate our resolute commitment to a sustainable future and demonstrate the positive impact of our efforts on the environment. Our achievements, and the promise of sustainability that goes with them, are not based on mere claims, but are backed up by a comprehensive environmental balance sheet prepared by the renowned Institute for Energy and Environmental Research Heidelberg (IFEU). This once again underlines the importance of our achievements. The certificate we have received is a sign that sanitas does not just talk the talk, but walks the walk when it comes to environmental protection and sustainability.
